Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Pans

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans or line them with parchment paper.

Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients

  • In a bowl, sift together cake flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Step 3: Cream Butter and Sugar

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. This takes about 3–4 minutes.

Step 4: Add the Eggs
