Ingredients
Method
- Place butterfly pea flowers or tea bag into a heat-safe cup.
- Pour hot water over the flowers and let it steep for 3–5 minutes until deep blue.
- Strain out the flowers and stir in honey or sweetener while warm.
- Let the tea cool for a few minutes.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the cooled butterfly pea tea over the ice.
- Add milk slowly to create a layered look.
- Add lemon juice if a color change is desired.
- Garnish with extra flowers and serve right away.
My Tip: Pour milk slowly over the back of a spoon for a clean layered effect.
Notes
- 1. Steep time controls color depth.
- 2. Lemon juice changes color fast, so add slowly.
- 3. Plant-based milk works well for dairy-free needs.
- 4. Serve right after assembling for best texture.
