Method
Prepare the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line three round cake pans.
Mix Dry Ingredients
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add Wet Ingredients
- Add eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and lump-free.
Divide the Batter
- Split the batter evenly into three bowls:
- Leave one as vanilla
- Keep one chocolate (already mixed with cocoa)
- For strawberry: add a few drops of strawberry extract or puree (optional but recommended)
Bake
- Pour each batter into separate pans and bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool Completely
- Let cakes cool fully before frosting.
Make the Frosting
- Beat butter and cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until fluffy.
Assemble the Cake
- Layer the cakes:
- Chocolate layer
- Vanilla layer
- Strawberry layer
